Fino Payments Bank’s merchant network gives push to Covid-19 vaccination drive

People can approach Fino merchants with their Aadhaar card and get the required registration done. The prevailing humanitarian crisis warrants such small acts of support on the ground to improve the effectiveness of the vaccination drive.” Fino merchants will access the Co-WIN portal from their smartphones either directly or through Fino Mitra or BPay apps. To complete the registration process in the portal, merchant will provide mobile and Aadhaar number of the person who sought help. An OTP gets generated that needs to be filled in the required field resulting in an SMS message indicating successful registration. People have the option to choose the vaccination centre and time slot.

All one needs to do is show up at the vaccination centre to get the dose. As per Health Ministry update, the total Covid vaccine doses given across India as on 23 May has crossed 21.80 crores. The list includes first and second doses to senior citizens, healthcare workers, frontline workers and those in the 45- 60 years and 18-44 years age groups.
