7th Feb,2025 (Odisha Tazanews) Ahmedabad :- In a recent ruling, the Gujarat High Court dismissed a contempt application filed against ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India Ltd. The court not only rejected the application but also imposed costs on the petitioner, signaling a strong stance against unwarranted legal actions.
The contempt application was initiated by the Gujarat Operational Creditors Association, alleging that ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel had engaged in actions amounting to contempt of court. The High Court has further dismissed the application with exemplary costs of ₹2,00,000 /- imposed upon the applicant – GOCA which need to be deposited within a period of two weeks.
