Resident doctors across the state will go on strike from February 7 for pending demands

6 Feb 2024 (Odisha Tazanews) Cha. Sanmbhajinagar :- Resident doctors have called for a statewide strike as their pending demands are not being met. Resident doctors across the state have taken a stand to go on strike as the government is not taking any action beyond the promises even after giving support. Resident doctors of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar district will also participate in this strike, and an official letter has also been issued from them. A leaflet released on behalf of Mard Association of Resident Doctors said, “Many problems of resident doctors in the state have been pending for the past several days. In the last one year, the central MARD organization has repeatedly appealed to the government for this.But every time the carrot of promises was shown by the administration.

Actually no notice has been taken. Central MARD organization has warned to go on strike from 5 pm on February 7 for various pending demands.Accordingly, all the resident doctors of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar will take the stand of strike. We apologize for the impact on patient care caused by the strike, and all essential services will continue during the strike,” said the Mard Association of Resident Doctors. Major demands of resident doctors… The stipend paid to resident doctors should be credited to their account by 10th of every month. Adequate provision of hostel facilities should be made for resident doctors. The stipend paid to resident doctors should be at par with the stipend paid in central institutions.
