New Delhi (Odisha Tazanews) :- World Odisha Society (WOS) paid glowing tribute to legendary Singer late Shri Pranab Patnaik. In a condolence meeting hosted by WOS in virtual platform Odia Diaspora leaders worldwide expressed sorrow over shri Patnaik’s sad demise.
Office bearers,members and well wishers of WOS, leading non resident odia community leaders and fans of Shri Patnaik from different parts of the country and abroad attended the online homage ceremony. Addressing the digital gathering Distinguished dignitaries recounted late lamented Shri Pranab Patnaik’s huge contributions in promoting, propagating and popularising Odisha’s rich art, vibrant culture and lofty heritage across the globe through his countless immortal musical numbers.
Presiding over the meeting, Chairman of World Odisha Society and senior Journalist Kishore Dwibedi recounted late Shri Patnaik’s intimate relationship with WOS and his all out help and unstinted co – operations in building up the world body during it’s formative time in covid period. Speaking during the occasion, wife of Late Shri Pranab Patnaik, Kasturika Patnaik profusely thanked the members of WOS and people of Odisha at large for expressing deep sympathy over the death and for offering huge love and affection on their family.
Describing Pranab Patnaik as an Institution not Individual, the Secretary of Sambhabana Deba Prasad Parija, expressed shock that the government couldn’t recognise his massive contributions to enrich Odisha’s musical firmament. General Secretary of WOS Pushpanjali Barik, Noted Singer Mamata Bebarta Pattanaik and Vice-President of Women’s Wing Of WOS Reeta Patra paid musical tribute to Shri Patnaik by singing several of his scintillating and soul soothing popular songs.
Paying obeisance to the departed soul, Founder President of Delhi Utkal Asmita Foundation Dr Anita Panda, Senior administrator Bibhuti Bhushan Pattanaik , Director in All India Radio Subhashree Mahapatra, Vice-Chairman of WOS Dr Nalini Pati, Secretary General Of WOS Siba Ranjan Biswal, President of Women’s Wing of WOS Dr Sunanda Mishra Panda,
