Massive fire breaks out in 14-storey building in Undri; 15-year-old boy dies, five injured

Pune (Odisha Tazanews) Pune :- A massive fire broke out in a 14-storey building of Marvel Ideal Society on Jagdamb Bhavan Marg in Undri area on Thursday evening, killing one person and injuring five others. The incident has created an atmosphere of fear in the area.

The fire that broke out in a flat on the 12th floor quickly spread to a large extent and engulfed the entire building. As soon as the information about the incident was received, five fire brigade vehicles and a high-ladder vehicle immediately reached the spot. While the personnel were trying to douse the fire, a gas cylinder in the house exploded. Two fire brigade personnel and three civilians were injured in the incident, while a 15-year-old boy died tragically.

The fire has been brought under control and the fire brigade is conducting a cooling operation. Police and municipal officials have reached the spot and an investigation is underway to find out the exact cause of the accident. This incident has raised serious questions about the fire safety measures in high-rise buildings.
