Pune (Odisha Tazanews) Pune :- Pune Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar has given a clear warning that if pubs and bars in the city are found to be open even after 1:30 am, the senior police inspectors of the concerned police station will be held directly responsible and strict action will be taken against them. The police commissioner stated that the city has become a haven for thieves due to the rampant violation of rules by pub and hoteliers.
It has come to light that many establishments are being kept open illegally till 2 to 3 am in Pune city. This has created a law and order problem. The police commissioner has directed to take strict steps to stop the increasing profits of hotel and pub businessmen. “If the violation of rules does not stop, serious action will be taken against the senior inspectors of the concerned police station,” Commissioner Amitesh Kumar said.
To control this serious problem, the police have ordered to increase night patrols and ensure strict compliance with the rules. The police commissioner has also appealed to the citizens of the city to register complaints in this regard.
