17Th Dec 2024 (Odisha Tazanews) Pune :-> Pune – There is currently a boom in school admission advertisements in the city and suburbs. Parents are being attracted by large flexes and attractive advertisements. However, due to this, cases of cheating of parents are being exposed. The Education Department has recently come to the notice of the fraud in Marathon International School in Hadapsar area. Parents revealed that the school’s ‘U-Dice Number’ was wrong. The Education Department has taken immediate cognizance of this matter and ordered to register a criminal case against the school.
The reality behind school admission advertisements
The admission process is underway in ‘ICSE’, ‘CBSE’, ‘IB’, as well as state education board schools in the city. However, it has come to light that many schools are advertising without permission and misleading parents. Against this backdrop, the Zilla Parishad has appealed to parents to be careful.
What should you take care of before admission ?
Parents need to check the following things about the school before admitting their child :
Is the school government-approved ?
Is the U-Dice number valid ?
Does the school have physical facilities, toilets and playground ?
Are CCTV cameras installed in the school for security ?
Has a parent-teacher committee been formed ?
Does the student transport system include female staff ?
Action in case of fraud
The Zilla Parishad has announced that a criminal case will be registered against the school if parents are cheated. Along with this, it has been assured that the Group Education Officers will keep a close eye on the schools under their jurisdiction.
Special list available for parents
To prevent admission to unauthorized schools, the Zilla Parishad has decided to publish the official list of schools on the website www.zppune.org from December 16 to 18.

The Zilla Parishad has appealed to parents not to fall into the trap of fraudulent schools to keep their children’s future safe. Taking due care when choosing a school can avoid future troubles.
