Many government officials and employees are found taking bribes on a rampant basis. Anti-corruption department has started strict action against this background. On Thursday (15th) in Pune, a female public prosecutor was caught by the anti-bribery department while accepting a bribe of 10,000 rupees.
The lawyer’s name is Anjala Navgire (age 54). A case under Prevention of Corruption Act has been registered against her at Wanwadi Police Station. A 36-year-old woman complained in this regard. According to information, a case was registered against the husband of the complainant woman in Hadapsar police station. The car used in that crime was seized by the police. The complainant woman had filed an application in the army court to get back that motor.
The court asked public prosecutor Anjala Navgire to present her views on the application. Meanwhile, when the complainant woman met Navgire, Navgire demanded a bribe of Rs 10 thousand from the complainant. As she did not want to pay the bribe, the complainant woman immediately rushed to the Anti-Bribery Department and gave this information. The anti-bribery department immediately laid a trap and caught Navgire red-handed accepting a bribe of 10,000 rupees. A case has been registered against the concerned after this incident.
