Police orders disappear into thin air, but illegal businesses continue to flourish!
Pune (Odisha Tazanews) Pune :-> “Did the police protect us?” Punekars are forced to ask this angry question once again. Because illegal businesses are not stopping in the city. Prostitution in spa centers, open sale of ganja-MD, and the increased nepotism that results from it — all these scenes have become a daily reality in Pune today.
No matter how many orders are issued by the Police Commissioner, claims of action are made, it is a shocking picture that many parts of the city are literally monopolized by crime on Saturdays and Sundays . ‘Saturday-Sunday Sale’ of illegal businesses!
Yerawada, Laxmi Nagar, Yashwant Nagar, Gadital Road, Kalyani Nagar — While videos of open sale of ganja at night are going viral in these areas, the police are nowhere to be seen. The video clearly shows that 50 grams of ganja is being sold by a disabled adult for just Rs 200. The question is — don’t the local police see all this?
Some cases have come to light only due to the large-scale operations carried out by the Narcotics Department. On the contrary, there is immense displeasure among the people over the lack of action by the local police. Massage parlor or ‘illegal trading center’?
In many places in the city, including Kalyani Nagar, prostitution under the name of massage parlors is visible to everyone, except the authorities! Allegations of deliberate neglect by the authorities concerned are going on everywhere. Crackers of brotherhood, mere smoke from the police
Attacks by the Coyotes, terrorizing, and the growth of gangster culture — the citizens are firmly of the view that the illegal businesses that continue to operate smoothly are the reason behind this. Where criminals have the courage to work openly, whose protection is there?
Citizens are asking this question directly to the police. Claiming ‘action’ from the Police Commissioner – but peace in the field ! Although the Police Commissioner says that action is being taken, in reality the empire of illegal businesses is seen to be strengthening day by day in many areas.
The tone of the citizens is harsh – “Pay attention here too, sir! Whom are you protecting and who should be protected?” Criminals are becoming bolder in Pune and citizens are losing patience – before the tag ‘Safe Pune’ disappears from the map, it is imperative that the administration truly wakes up .
