The integration of multi-omics data with artificial intelligence-driven analytics heralds a paradigm shift towards personalised, predictive, preventive, and participatory (4P) medicine.The Phenome India-CSIR Health Cohort Knowledgebase (PI-CHECK), a flagship CSIR initiative, establishes a Pan-India longitudinal cohort of employees, pensioners, and spouses, leveraging CSIR’s nationwide laboratories for assessments at three time points over a five-year period.

It integrates multimodal data clinical, anthropometric, biochemical, imaging, and molecular (genomics, proteomics, metabolomics, microbiome)-analysed via AI/ML to deliver precise, India-centric risk models. Launched on 7 December 2023, PI-CHECK enrolled more than 10,000 participants. Data collection, facilitated through a secure OTP-authenticated portal, includes rapid sample processing and report dissemination within 48-72 hours using portable diagnostic tools.Phase 1 concluded with 10,261 participants, celebrated at Phenome India:
