Bhubaneswar (Odisha Tazanews) :-  Dr Bipin Bihari Mishra is a nationally acclaimed prominent Philanthropist and ace environment activist. Sixty one years old Dr Mishra was born on 31st March 1964 in Rukunadeiipur village of Sadar Block in Keonjhar district of Odisha.Dr Mishra was educated and got settled in Mumbai.

Coming from a humble background his father Khetrabasi Mishra is an agriculturist and Mother Suryamani Mishra is a housewife. Married to celebrated social activist Dr Sukanti Mishra on 27th February 1989, Dr Mishra has two daughters namely Air India Pilot Shelbi Mishra and Research Scientist Shivani Mishra.

Being a multifaceted personality, Dr Bipin Bihari Mishra has been an exceptional social leader, dedicated community developer, top notch social influencer, outstanding organizer, erudite editor, astounding grass root communicator, awesome pro poor policy maker, amazing mass mobilizer and above all a lovable people’s person.

Being the Founder of Suryakhetra Foundation of Education and Charitable Trust alongwith his illustrious wife Dr Sukanti Mishra, both the couple have been rendering remarkable services in the field of treatment of needy cancer patients, ensuring affordable health care, spreading quality education, availing sustainable livelihood, facilitating water management, promoting afforestation, protecting environment and empowering tribal communities across the country.

Bearer of an excellent academic career Dr Mishra holds a Diploma in Electronics Engineering and B.E. Degree in Electronics from Navy under Ministry of Defence, Government of India. Recognising his exemplary contribution to Society, Dr Mishra was awarded Doctorate by international Open University for complementary medicines based in Sri Lankan Capital Colombo.

A much decorated human being, Dr Bipin Bihari Mishra has had the honour of receiving several prestigious Awards and significant recognitions for his amazing achievements.  These include Prakruti Mitra and Prakruti Bandhu Awards by Government of Odisha, Bilasuni Samman, Best Social Worker Award by Human Rights Council of India and Anti-Corruption Intelligence Committee.

Dr Bipin Bihari Mishra’s Save Water Campaign has brought massive awareness and transformation in using water judiciously. His huge efforts for water conservation have resulted in lessening water pollution, enhancing agricultural production by making availabile of sufficient water, improving food security, decreasing water borne diseases, promoting bio diversity and ecological balance by making water accessible for plants and animals.
