Pune (Odisha Tazanews) Pune :-> The police have taken a major action to prevent the sale of drugs in the Kondhwa area and arrested two youths in two separate cases for possessing drugs . It is noteworthy that the military intelligence had provided important information to the police for this action . In the first case, after receiving information that a youth was coming to Dharmawat Nagar area with Ojikush ganja (chemically processed ganja) in a car, the anti-narcotics squad laid a trap and arrested Abhinav Pradeep Gupta (age 22, resident of Laxman Parvati Society, Shivne).
8 grams of Ojikush ganja, a mobile phone set and a total of Rs 96,620 worth of goods were seized from him. In the second action, Irshad Iftikhar Sheikh (age 27, resident of Homewood Society) was arrested with mephedrone from Pargenagar in the Kondhwa area. Mephedrone worth Rs 5 lakh, a motorbike, two mobile sets, an electric weighing scale, plastic bags worth a total of Rs 7.65 lakh were seized from him.
In both these operations, under the guidance of Additional Commissioner of Police Pankaj Deshmukh, Deputy Commissioner Nikhil Pingle, Assistant Commissioner Rajendra Mulik, Police Inspector Prashant Annachhatre, Assistant Inspector Anil Suravase and employees Vishal Dalvi, Vinayak Salve, Maruti Pardhi, Dayanand Telange, Nagnath Rakh, Nitin Jadhav, Sachin Malve, Praveen Uttekar, Suhas Dongre, Sandesh Kakade, Dattaram Jadhav, Akshay Shirke played an important role. The police have started further investigation in these cases and are searching for the network of the accused involved.
