Police raid illegal cattle mafia’s house

Jagatsinghpur (Odisha Tazanews) Krishnachandrapur :- A police team led by DSP Rashmi Ranjan Dash of Krishnachandrapur police station in Jagatsinghpur district raided the house of a person who was engaged in buying stolen cattle for slaughter. The police have seized 03 big bulls and three cows tied at the scene for slaughter. A total of 6 cows have been rescued from the house of the accused.

All the cows have been sent to a cowshed for safekeeping and custody. A criminal case has been registered against the above-mentioned cattle mafia under the provisions of the Cow Slaughter Act and the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act . Cow slaughter is an illegal business to which the Krishnachandrapur police have given a strong response .

The police have registered a criminal case under the provisions of the Cow Slaughter Act and the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act and have tried the arrested accused in court . Today, in the presence of the police and the executive magistrate, the accused who were illegally arrested visited the spot to break the door .

The Krishnachandrapur police have imposed a complete ban on cow slaughter in their jurisdiction . They have strongly warned against giving any form of indulgence to such illegal activities .
