Huge crowd of followers, dignitaries present at Koregaon Bhima on the occasion of 207th Valor Day

01th Jan, 2025 (Odisha Tazanews) Pune :-> The 207th Shaurya Din is being celebrated with great enthusiasm at Korogaon Bhima today (January 1), i.e. on the first day of the new year. Thousands of followers are present at this place against this backdrop.Which includes Ajit Pawar, Datta Bharne, Adv. Prakash Ambedkar and many dignitaries. Numerous followers have arrived from all over Maharashtra and neighboring states to pay homage to the Victory Column here. While the whole world is watching the first sunrise of the new year, these followers have gathered in large numbers at Koregaon Bhima since morning.

Tight security arrangements

Along with political leaders, the general public has also come with great enthusiasm to have darshan of the Victory Column at Koregaon Bhima. Due to which the roads here are filled with crowds. Every year a large number of followers flock to this place to pay homage. Due to this, a large number of police personnel are also deployed. Tight security arrangements have been made to ensure the smooth conduct of the program to be held on the anniversary of Koregaon Bhima on January 1. This includes 4,500 security personnel, 120 acres of parking area, about 380 PMPML buses, fire brigade, ambulances and a dedicated team of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF). The event is expected to attract a significant crowd of visitors from across the state and the country.

Prakash Ambedkar, after saluting the Vijaystambh, reacted through an ex post and said that Bhima-Koregaon Shaurya Diwas is a reminder of taking a step forward in the fight against the caste oppression of our ancestors. Take inspiration from the victory of as many as 500 (499 Mahars and 1 Matang) soldiers and allied forces over their Brahminical Peshwa rulers.
