20th Nov,2024 (Odisha Tazanews) Bhubaneswar :-> The concluding evening of Ragotsav 2024 organised by Bhubaneswar Music Circle presented Hindustani vocal recital and Sur Taal Brahma percussion ensemble. The first presentation was a Hindustani Vocal recital by the young vocalist, Shri Biswajit Mahapatra from Bhubaneswar. He enthralled the audience with his masterful performance. He was accompanied by Tabla – Shri Subash Ch. Mohapatra on the Tabla, Shri Biswanath Mishra on the Harmonium, and Ms. Debasmita Mishra on Tanpura.
Concluding evening’s last presentation was “Sur Taal Brahma” percussion ensemble by Vidyacharya Pandit Gobinda Bose and Group. Pandit Gobinda Bose is a legendary figure in the field of rhythm of world. He is one of the most prominent tabla maestros of India. The art connoisseurs were captivated by the superb presentation of the evening’s musical programme and were present till the end.
The programme was conducted by Pandit Gobinda Bose and the group members were Vocalist, Srimati Rageshri Das, Sri Shankar Narayan Swami on Mridangam, Sri Dibyajyoti Mukherjee on Guitar, Sri Debasish Adhikary on Harmonium, Sri Pinaki Chakraborty and Sri Soumen Sarkar on Tabla, Sri Shubhash Paul on Qawwali Dhol, Sri Ranjan De on Bangla Dhol, Sri Nihar Mandal on Srikhol. Sound system was managed by Shri Babuli and Sri Soumitra DasThe dignitaries who graced the occasion were Aurobindo Behera, President, Bhubaneswar Music Circle and Shri Khirod Patnaik, General Secretary Bhubaneswar Music Circle. The programme was compared by Dr. Sangita Gosain and Smt. Meera Panda.
