While the temple is in trouble due to theft, Kujang police officers are looking for two criminals. A robbery took place at the Saibaba temple of Krishnachandrapur under Kujang police station. The robbers looted gold and silver jewelery worth lakhs of rupees from the temple. The accused were caught by Kujang police after stealing gold and silver jewelery worth Rs 4 lakh and these two vicious robbers also looted Rs 15,761 from the donation box of the temple. In addition, there are reports that these two men have stolen gold ornaments from many temples in Puri. The two robbers, who have looted more than 10 temples till date, were not caught by the police even after looting the temple many times. The Kujang police station has investigated the case. On the instructions of Kujang Police Station Officer Rashmi Ranjan Das, the police arrested the robber yesterday with the assistance of the investigation team, who traced the address of the robber using technology. He seized gold rudraksha mali, gold jewelry, crown, cash, silver plate and worship vessels from the robbers. The police have recovered all the stolen jewelery and secured it in the temple. However, it has been revealed from the police data that the two accused are Devendra Panda of Gopiakud and Minketan Parida of Rahama area. On the order of Jagatsingh Pur SP, a strict investigation has been launched in the name of the said accused. Case number 394/2023 has been registered in Kujang police station and the accused has been prosecuted under section 457/380 IPC.
