4th Augus 2023 (Odisha Tazanews) Khordha-jatni :-> Foundation Stone will Be Laid By Honble Prime minister Shri NARENDRA MODI, For The Redevelopment Of Eleven Railway Stations Over Khurda Road Division Under “AMRIT BHARAT STATION SCHEME”.
Today Shri H.S.Bajwa, Divisional Railway Manager, Khurda Road held a press conference, to brief media regarding the redevelopment of Various Railway stations over Khurda Road division under “Amrit Bharat Station Scheme”.
Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, launched under the visionary leadership of our Honorable Prime Minister, aims to modernize and enhance the infrastructure of Railway stations across the nation for providing world class facilities and service to passengers. Presently, the scheme envisages to take-up 1309 Stations for upgradation / modernization over Indian Railway.
Total 23 Railway stations over Khurda Road division are selected for redevelopment under Amrit Bharat Scheme. In the first phase, 11 Railway Stations have been selected for the redevelopment. They are Sakhigopal, Mancheswar, Dhenkanal, Chhatrapur, Angul, Palasa, Meramandali, Balugaon, Lingaraj Temple Road, Talcher Road and Khurda Road.
Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi Ji, will lay the foundation Stone for the redevelopment of 508 Stations under Amrit Bharat Scheme, through video conferencing from New Delhi, on 06.08.2023, where, above 11 Stations under Khurda Road division are included.
These stations present a grand picture of modern India with, new Station Building, improved to Station façade, entrance porches, waiting area, circulating area, etc. The stations will have Parking with pick and drop facility, 12 Mts Wide central Foot Over Bridge with Lift, PF Shelters, improved waiting rooms with modern furniture, Premium toilet facility with modern amenities etc.
