KHURDA ROAD DIVISION HAS TRANSPORTED 155.34 MILLION TONNES OF FREIGHT IN THE CURRENT FINANCIAL YEAR 2022-23

1th April 2023 (Odisha Tazanews) Khordha-jatni :- Division has again achieved first position in East Coast Railway with a contribution of 64% to the total loading done by ECoR zone. Khurda Road division stood third in Indian Railways by sharing 10% of total loading by Indian Railways. Recorded highest earnings of Rs 14,597 Crores in the current financial year, breaking all the previous records.Division has recorded ever best loading of 14.55 Millon Tonnes in the month March-2023.  Breaking all the previous records in freight loading, the Khurda Road division has transported 155.34 Million Tonnes of freight in the current financial year i.e from 1st April 2022 to 31st March 2023, registering an increase of 1.9 % than the corresponding period of last financial year. In the last financial year i.e from 1st April 2021 to 31st March 2022, the division has loaded 152.46 Million tonnes of freight.
The division has again achieved first position in East Coast Railway with a contribution of 64% to the total loading done by East Coast Railway zone and stood third over Indian Railways by sharing 10% of total loading by Indian Railways. In the field of freight earnings, the division has recorded highest earnings of Rs 14,597 Crores in the current financial year with respect to the previous year’s earning of Rs 14,016 Crores i.e 4.1% more than the last year’s eanings.March 2023 has been recorded as everbest loading in a month, by loading 14.55 Million Tonnes and registered an increase of 4.2% in comparision to March 2022. The freight earnings in a single month i.e in March 2023 is Rs 1,292 Crores. Expressing his gratitude to all on this great achievement, Shri Rinkesh Roy, the Divisional Railway Manager, Khurda Road said that, it is the hard work and sincere efforts of each officer and staff for which, the Khurda road division could able to achieve records in freight loading in Indian Railways. He assured that with his team of officers and staff, the division can touch more heights in the coming days.
