BERHAMPUR (Odiha Tazanews) :- The Department of Home Science, Berhampur University organized a one-day Career Counselling Workshop to enhance students’ career readiness and bridge the gap between academics and industry expectations. The program was successfully conducted under the visionary leadership of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof.
Geetanjali Dash, with the support of Chairman, P.G. Council, Prof. Sukanta Kumar Tripathy.The workshop featured expert-led sessions on career anxiety management, employability skills, food technology careers, and resume writing with personal branding.
Dr. Shyamasikta Nayak, Clinical Psychologist, M.K.C.G. Medical College emphasized resilience and a positive mindset, while Mr. Kali Prasad Ravi, Soft Skill Trainer & Corporate Recruiter conducted interactive sessions on soft skills and interview readiness, including mock interviews.
Mrs. Anima Mishra, Head, Food Technology, Govt. Polytechnic College provided insights into industry requirements in Food Technology and highlighted the importance of practical training and certifications.
The workshop saw enthusiastic student participation and proved highly informative sessions.
Mrs. Alita Minz, Coordinator of the Department and Convenor of this Workshop, welcomed and felicitated the resource persons. Mrs. Manasee Meher coordinated the program while Ms. Ashmita Beura delivered the vote of thanks, marking the successful conclusion of the event.
