5th january,2024 (Odishi Tazanews) BURGARD :-> Colonel CK Naidu Elite Group C League Cricket Competition under 23 years age group organized by BCCI at local Krishna Development Cricket Ground from 07/01/2024 to 01/01/2024. It will be held between Odisha and Saurastra. In the meantime Odisha and Saurastra teams have reached Bargarh and are staying at Hotel Niki Residency and Ganpati respectively,
while the match officials will also arrive at Hotel Ganpati this afternoon. Including this match, till now seven matches have been held at this ground, with the help of Krishna Vikas Group, District Cricket Association, Burgh has successfully completed all the matches. CK Naidu Trophy under 23 years age group, and Cooch Behar Trophy under 19 years age group in 2016-17, 2017-18, 2023-24, six such matches have already been held, while the current match will be held at this ground. It is the seventh match.
The current match is expected to be as thrilling as the previous matches. Both the teams have a lot of talented players in this ground which is suitable for both batting and bowling and the outfield is like a green carpet. This is the first match between the two teams in the four-day format at the start of the season this year. Earlier, the Odisha team won 4 of the 6 matches they played in this year’s one-day competition and finished third in their group.
Similarly, the Saurastra team won 4 matches out of 5 matches after being placed in their group in the one-day competition. Balkrishna Misquin is the match referee for this match on behalf of BCCI. The umpires are Deepak DL and Vikas Bhatt. Similarly, Tapas Nayak is the senior video analyst while Sawan Padhi is the junior video analyst. Online scorer is CD Sunil, manual scorer is Birbar Naik.
