“Give Her A Chance To Serve”: CM Naveen Canvasses For ‘Daughter Of The Soil’ Deepali Das In Jharsuguda

8th May 2023 (Odisha Tazanews) Jharsuguda :- Adding momentum to BJD’s campaign for the bypoll to Jharsuguda assembly segment, Odisha Chief Minister and BJD president Naveen Patnaik today descended on the campaign ground and canvassed for party candidate Deepali Das. Addressing a public rally at Amilipali in Jharsuguda, Patnaik sought the blessings of the people for Deepali Das, daughter of former Minister Naba Das.Describing Deepali as the daughter of the soil, Patnaik hoped that people will give her a chance to serve Jharsuguda. “Deepali is the daughter of this soil. I have this hope that you will give her a chance to serve this land. I request you all to bless BJD candidate Deepali Das,” he said in his address. Paying his deepest respects to former Minister Naba Das, Naveen said Das was a well known leader, an efficient MLA and minister. He is no more with us today. People of Jharsuguda will always remember him for his work, Patnaik added. “Today, his daughter Deepali Das has come forward to take over his duties and serve you. You know, she is a highly educated girl.She hasspecial interest in social service. I believe, if she gets the opportunity to serve the people of Jharsuguda, she can do it efficiently,” the CM said. Launching a scathing attack on Opposition Parties, the BJD supremo highlighted the way the Opposition party had behaved with the party nominee who had lost her father in Padamapur“Losing and winning are part of the election.We all must maintain decency during the election campaign. No one, especially our mothers, should be insulted or disrespected,” he maintained. Patnaik came down on the Opposition leaders who scolded Deepali in the same way as they treated Barsha SinghBariha who lost her father during Padmapur by-election.Naveen said “It made me very sad.” Patnaik further pointed out that BJD has always been with the people of Jharsuguda as the district is developing one. “Biju Janata Dal believes in the welfare and empowerment of women, farmers and youth mass.
