Bhubaneswar (Odisha Tazanews) CARI :- CARI Bhubaneswar Hosts One-Day Seminar on “Yoga for Stress Management and Lifestyle Disorders” on 3rd June, 2025 as a part of 11th IDY-2025, in the Auditorium of CARI Bhubaneswar. The event brought together esteemed experts, practitioners, and participants to highlight the profound benefits of yoga and Ayurveda in contemporary life.
The seminar commenced with an inspiring video message from Dr. Mukesh Mahaling, Honorable Cabinet Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Parliamentary Affairs, who emphasized the crucial importance of Ayurveda and Yoga in the present era. In his message he appreciated the new initiative of CCRAS to Survey of Medicinal Plants of Gandhamardan Hill.
Dr. Sarada Ota, Director In-charge, CARI Bhubaneswar, extended a warm welcome to all attendees. Prof (Vaidya.) Rabinarayan Acharya, Director General –CCRAS, New Delhi. Graced the occasion as chief guest and highlighted the importance of Yoga and Prevention of Non-communicable diseases clinical evidence of Yoga Government initiative for promotion of Yoga.
The seminar was graced by distinguished guests, including Professor P.K. Panda, Dean, Sri Sri College of Ayurveda. Dr. M.M. Padhi, former Deputy Director General of CCRAS. Professor Prafulla Kumar Mishra, former Chancellor, Dr. Rajendra Prasad Central Agricultural University, Bihar. During this session the exchange of MoU and Collaborative project between CARI,
Bhubaneswar and Sri Sri Ayurvedic Medical College and Research for AGNI INITIATIVE : AGNI initiative : Documentation of therapeutic effect of a novel Ayurvedic Herbo- mineral Compound in the management of Sickle Cell Anaemia and 2nd Circular of National Seminar on “Heaptobiliary wellness through Ayurveda: Bridging tradition with contemporary science” have been Launched. The inaugural session concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Sudhanshu Kumar Meher.
Following a lunch break, the technical session commenced, featuring a series of illuminating presentations. Dr. M.M. Padhi presented on “Yoga and Ayurveda for Better Health,” offering valuable perspectives. Dr. Nitesh M.K., Research Officer, Central Research Institute of Yoga and Naturopathy, Bangalore, discussed “Yoga for Mental Health,” highlighting its therapeutic applications.
Mr. Ajay Sahoo, Centre Coordinator, Vivekananda Kendra Bhubaneswar, presented on “Yoga for Stress Management,” providing practical strategies. Finally, Mr. Ajit Rana shared insights on “Yoga for Elderly People,” addressing the specific needs of an aging population.
The seminar concluded with an interactive panel discussion, followed by a concluding session, fostering a rich exchange of knowledge and perspectives on integrating yoga and Ayurveda for holistic well-being. The event was a resounding success, equipping participants with valuable tools and understanding to combat stress and manage lifestyle disorders through the ancient practices of yoga and Ayurveda.
