Bhubaneswar (Odisha Tazanews) :- Mother’s Public School, Pahala, in partnership with the SB1 Group of Companies, officially inaugurated its new, cutting-edge Sports Hub today, setting a benchmark for school-level athletic infrastructure across the state. The complex was formally opened by Smt. Baijayanti Sahoo, Chairman of SB1 Group of Companies, alongside key leadership from the Mother’s Group of Schools, including Chairman Smt.
Poly Patnaik, Director Mr. Sreejeet Patnaik, Managing Director Ms. Minati Sabat, Principal, Ms. Chitra Ajay, Mr. Nabaranjan Patnaik, Co- founder, Mother's Group of Schools and Ms. Rituparna Patnaik, Managing Director, Mother's Group of Schools. I am confident that the new SportsHub facility will empower students to nurture and achieve their athletic ambitions and Mother’s Public School continues to take commendable, pioneering steps in this direction. The world-class sports complex introduces several firsts for the region's academic circuit, including the first-ever dedicated school golf training setup in Odisha and four regulation pickleball courts to introduce students to the globally trending sport.
Complementing these unique additions are full-scale athletic amenities, including a swimming pool, a football ground, tennis courts, a basketball court, indoor badminton courts, and professional cricket practice nets, all designed to offer comprehensive physical education under professional standards. To mark the grand opening, the institution hosted an expansive two-day tournament covering football, chess, pickleball, tennis, and swimming, drawing participation from over 1,000 student-athletes across Odisha.
The event culminated in a high-profile closing ceremony and felicitation program attended by distinguished guests, including Shri Prithviraj Harichandan, Hon’ble Minister of Law, Shri Jagannath Pradhan, State Executive Member, BJP and Shri Rajeev Sekhar Sahoo, Partner at SRB ‘Associates. Highlighting the vision behind the initiative, Smt. Baijayanti Sahoo praised the school for investing in infrastructure that nurtures character, resilience and leadership beyond conventional academics, giving local talent a launchpad to compete at national and international levels.
