Gas agency supply stopped due to violation of rules; Sale at higher rates and illegal distribution exposed

Pune (Odisha Tazanews)Pune :-> The district administration has taken strict action against the gas agency ‘Mr. Shri Lakshmi Bharatgas’ in Hinjewadi for violating the rules in the distribution of commercial LPG cylinders and has stopped the supply and distribution with immediate effect. This action was taken on the orders of District Collector Jitendra Dudi.

According to the information received from the District Supply Branch, the concerned agency has an official license to sell commercial LPG cylinders through Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL). However, the priority order set by the government was not followed while distributing on March 26, 2026. It has been revealed that cylinders were distributed to unauthorized and unregistered persons and sold at an inflated rate to earn more profit.

Considering the possibility that this situation may create misunderstanding among the citizens regarding LPG supply and create a law and order issue, the administration took immediate action. The license of the concerned agency has been suspended and further investigation is underway.Meanwhile, District Supply Officer Mahesh Sudhalkar has directed BPCL to immediately implement the order and submit a compliance report.
