Hundreds of Smt Kabi’s family members, friends, relatives, admirers, and well-wishers assembled to pray for the salvation of her sacred soul. Late Indrani Banerjee Kabi had an exceptional command over dance and vocal music, alongside pursuing a highly successful professional career.
Beyond her manifold accomplishments,she is being deeply cherished for her compassion,warmth and affectionate nature. Her gentle spirit and generous heart left an indelible imprint on all, who had the privilege of knowing her. The invited Guests released the book titled “Rail to Reminiscence : An Eternal Voyage with Indrani,” authored by her husband Dr. Basanta Kumar Kabi, basing on her versatile character and value based living.
Another book in Odia, “Luhara Samudrare Indrani,” written by her sister-in-law noted poet Sabitri Kabi and a Souvenir titled “Indrani: The Radiant Star in the Sky,” featuring heartfelt tributes from her friends, family members, and colleagues, were unveiled during the occasion.
Presided over by Renowned Litterateur Pabitra Panigrahi, the prayer meeting was graced by eminent writer Dash Benhur as inaugurator, Director of Sovaniya Andolan Dr. Arundhati Debi, Chairperson of Bhadrak Municipality Gulmaki Dalawzi Habib, famous spiritual preacher Sangram Acharya, distinguished writer Rajanikanta Mohanty, defence expert Col. Sekhar Swain and famous litterateur Arunodaya Khilar as guests of honour. Ashok Kabi conducted the entire programme very smoothly.
The evening was spiritually enriched with the rendition of number of soul soothing bhajans by popular singer Jagabandhu Muduli and his troupe. In a touching tribute to Indrani’s loving memory both lunch and dinner were thoughtfully prepared with a specially curated menu featuring her favourite dishes.
The meals were serv dwith warmth and affection to all attendees. Indrani’s parents, Ashistaru Banerjee,Sumita Banerjee alongwith the entire Kabi family, expressed their gratitude to everyone who attended and extended their support.
