Pune (Odisha Tazanews) Pune :-> Amid the increase in prostitution cases in Pune district, the police have busted an unethical business operating in the Alandi area. After receiving information that prostitution was being carried out in the Yogiraj Lodge in Alandi by luring people with money, the Immoral Human Trafficking Prevention Cell took swift action and raided it.
In this operation, a prostitution den operating in the lodge was exposed and the police have arrested the concerned lodge manager. Preliminary information has come to light during the investigation that women are being lured into this business by luring people with money under the guise of the lodge. The police have seized necessary evidence during the raid and the victim women have been rescued.
A case has been registered in this case under the Immoral Human Trafficking Prevention Act and a thorough investigation is underway to find out who else is involved in this racket, the police said. Citizens are expressing anger over such an immoral business being carried out in Alandi, which is known as a religious and pilgrimage destination. The police administration has warned that strict action will be taken against such illegal businesses.
