Mahila Mandal officer of Bhor Tehsil office arrested in ACB trap while taking bribe of Rs 1 lakh

Pune (Odisha Tazanews) Pune :-> Rupali Arun Gaikwad (age 40), a women’s board officer at the tehsil office in Bhor taluka, was caught red-handed by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) while accepting a bribe of Rs 1 lakh. The ACB informed that she had demanded a bribe of Rs 1 lakh 50 thousand from the complainant under the pretext of ‘cooperation’ regarding a soil transportation license.

The complainant had obtained a 200-bras soil transportation license from the Bhor tehsil office as per the rules for the period from November 19, 2025 to December 10, 2025. For this, he had also paid a royalty of Rs 1 lakh 26 thousand 230 to the government. However, on November 30, board officer Rupali Gaikwad stopped the soil transportation vehicles and demanded Rs 1 lakh 50 thousand to start the vehicles.

He also threatened the complainant to stop the soil transportation if the money was not paid . After the complainant reported the matter to the ACB, the officers laid a trap. The meeting between the complainant and the accused officer was fixed at the Abhijit Mangal office area near Bhor city.

At this place, the ACB team caught Rupali Gaikwad red-handed as soon as she accepted Rs 1 lakh of the amount demanded. A case has been registered against her at the Bhor police station in this case and further investigation is underway, the Anti-Corruption Bureau informed.
