Pune (Odisha Tazanews) Pune :-> A major earthquake in the education department of the Zilla Parishad — As many as 46 primary teachers who had availed job concessions, transfers and government benefits on the basis of bogus disability certificates have been busted. The administration has initiated disciplinary action against all these teachers, creating a stir in the education sector.
Fraud revealed in re-examination After repeated complaints of teachers misusing bogus disability certificates, the Zilla Parishad had decided to re-examine all the certificates. In the first phase, the certificates of 176 teachers were sent to the office of the Deputy Director of Health Services for verification.
In this inspection, it was revealed that the certificates of 130 teachers were valid, while the disability of the remaining 46 teachers was less than 40 percent. Therefore, they have been declared ineligible for any government concessions. The certificates of some of the remaining teachers have now been sent to the principals of Sassoon Sarvoopchar Hospital for verification, and the number of ineligible teachers is likely to increase further.
Fake disability certificates for concessions These teachers are suspected of using disability certificates to get transfers, job reservations, travel concessions, and other government benefits. Now, strict action will be taken against all of them through departmental or internal inquiry.

Increased fear among teachers After the announcement of this list, an atmosphere of fear has arisen among teachers in the Zilla Parishad. Many have started re-verifying whether their certificates are valid. However, the district administration has clarified that “there is no amnesty for those who cheat.”
