AIIMS Bhubaneswar to hold its 5th Convocation on 14th July 2025

Bhubaneswar (Odisha Taza News) :- AIIMS Bhubaneswar is going to celebrate its 5th Convocation on 14th July 2025. Hon’ble President of India Smt. Droupadi Murmu will grace the occasion along with Hari Babu Kambhampati (Hon’ble Governor of Odisha), Mohan Charan Majhi (Hon’ble Chief Minister of Odisha), Shri Dharmendra Pradhan (Hon’ble Union Minister of Education), Mukesh Mahaling (Hon’ble Minister of Health & Family Welfare, Parliamentary Affairs, Electronics & Information Technology, Govt. of Odisha) and Smt.Aparajita Sarangi (Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Bhubaneswar), said AIIMS Bhubaneswar Executive Director Prof. (Dr.) Ashutosh Biswas today. 643 healthcare professionals (196 MBBS students of 2016 & 2017 batch, 158 MD/MS students of 2019 & 2020 batch, 49 DM/MCh students of 2019 & 2020 batch, 21 Post-Doctoral Fellow (PDF) of 2022 & 2023 batch, 116 BSc. Nursing students of 2017 & 2018 batch, 62 BSc Paramedical students of 2018 & 2019 batch and 41 MSc Nursing students of 2019 & 2020 batch) will receive their degrees.

31 meritorious students (17 MBBS students, 1 MD/MS student, 1 DM/MCh student, 3 BSc Nursing students, 7 BSc Paramedical students and 2 MSc Nursing students) will receive 59 Gold Medals. AIIMS Bhubaneswar was founded by the great visionary, former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna Late Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee in the year 2003. AIIMS Bhubaneswar has been ableto win the trust of public in the field of quality health care not only in Odisha but also in the adjourning states.

Fulfilling the very mandates of equalizing the regional imbalance in tertiary health care delivery, the people of Odisha have witnessed the golden journey of the institute. It may be noted here that throughout its journey AIIMS Bhubaneswar has been conferred with many accolades. It was also ranked 12th among the top medical colleges and 2nd among the top emerging medical colleges in the India Today-MDRA Survey 2025.

Also, AIIMS Bhubaneswar has become the second choice of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) qualified candidates this year after AIIMS New Delhi. It was ranked the 15th best medical college in the country by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) under the Ministry of Education for 2024, up from 31st in the year 2021.
