Gurugram/New Delhi (Odisha Tazana) :- Kalinga Bharati Foundation hosted Raja Mahotsava at Gurugram with glitter, glamour and grandeur. The two days long Festival venue at community centre in sector-4 was aesthetically and elegantly decked up befitting to the grand occasion.The Open Air premises was wearing the look of a mini Odisha with all her essence and fragrance. Entire atmosphere was agog with festive fervour and massive fanfare.Considered as the best and biggest festival of Odisha, rituals of Raja Parba use to be observed as an obeisance to womanhood at a time,when Mother Earth gets fertile for cultivation during monsoon season. A mammoth crowd of Odias and Odisha lovers alongwith their families numbering around five thousand gathered on both the evenings of the ceremony. Notable among them were leaders of 150 Odia Organisations,Representatives of Jagannath temples in NCR and leading lights of other communities.Unusual interest, unexpected enthusiasm and unprecedented excitements were found among both the organisers and young participants of the Mega Event.
Gracing the august occasion as Distinguished Guests Senior Administrator Prasanta Kumar Mahapatra and Eminent Physician Dr Mohit Gupta lauded the noble initiatives of Kalinga Bharati Foundation and its Founder National President Engineer Akshay Kumar Samal in bridging between rich art, vibrant culture and lofty heritage of Haryana and Odisha. Addressing the gathering the main organiser of the Festival Er Akshay Kumar Samal said that the main motive of the Raja Milan is to unite everybody on the basis of humanity, love and brotherhood irrespective of caste, creed, religion and race. The ultimate goals of these huge efforts are in the direction of achieving Golden Odisha and Vikasit Bharat, Er Samal added. Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, State Minister Suryabanshi Suraj, MPs Baijayant Panda and Bansuri Swaraj have sent their goodwill messages to KBF wishing all success of Raja Mahotsava.
The highlight of the two days long supersonic show was National Folk Dance Festival showcasing scintillating performances by more than 200 talented artistes from the states of Odisha, Haryana, Rajasthan, West Bengal, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh.The Arts Festival also featured soul soothing musical presentations by noted singers Susmita Das and Sushant Kumar Panda. The programme was aptly conducted by ace anchor Shri Kamal. Other Attractions of the Raja Mahotsava were installation of 25 variety stalls, availability of authentic Odia delicacies,provision of Raja Swing, distribution of Special Raja Paan, Entertaining competitions like Rangoli, Jhoti, Fancy Dress, Painting and Lucky Draw. While Ipsita Chinara was coronated as Raja Queen, Suchismita Das was chosen as Raja Kumari.
Senior Bureaucrat Dr Saroj Kumar Jena was awarded as Best Odia Pua in Delhi NCR. Coveted Kalinga Bharati Pratibha Samman was conferred on renowned singer Susmita Das. Odia students obtaining 90% above marks in 10th and 12th CBSE examinations were also felicitated during the Festival. Others who were felicitated for their remarkable contributions to the Society include Atulya Kumar Panda, Nigamanand Prusty , Ajay Kumar Behera, Deepak Kumar Rath, Pushpanjali Barik, Nityananda Rout, Priyanshi Jena, Sushant Kumar Panda and Lili Behera.Akshay Mitra Foundation supported the holding of this Gala Cultural Jamboori.
