Bank of Baroda Inaugurates New Zonal Office in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar (Odisha Tazanews) BBSR :- Bank of Baroda, one of India’s leading public sector banks, inaugurated its new Zonal Office premises in Bhubaneswar, reaffirming its commitment to deepening customer outreach and strengthening its presence in Eastern India. The Bhubaneswar Zone encompasses the states of Odisha and Jharkhand and plays a strategic role in the Bank’s regional operations. The new Zonal Office will oversee five Regional Offices located in Sambalpur, Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Cuttack, and Bhubaneswar, managing a network of 337 branches.

Notably, nearly 67% of these branches are situated in rural and semi-urban areas, reinforcing the Bank’s efforts to expand financial inclusion and banking access in under-served regions. The new zonal office was inaugurated by M.Nagaraju, IAS, Secretary, Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance, Government of India, in the presence of Debadatta Chand, Managing Director & CEO, Bank of Baroda, and Manoranjan Mishra, Director (RBI Nominee), Bank of Baroda. Senior bank officials, stakeholders, and esteemed customers also attended the event.

Briefing the media persons here, Shri Chand, MD & CEO, Bank of Baroda, said, at Bank of Baroda, we are committed to expanding banking services in emerging regions and high-potential geographies across the country. The launch of the new Zonal Office in Bhubaneswar reflects the strategic importance of Odisha and Jharkhand for the Bank. It strengthens our presence in these key markets and enhances our ability to deliver banking solutions more efficiently, while driving inclusive growth. The Bank is planning to expand its Branch network by opening new Branches in the state he mentioned. Manoj Chayani, Chief General Manager & CFO of Bank’s corporate office was also present in the press meet.
