18th of November 2024 (Odisha Tazanews) Bhubaneswar :-> “Ragotsav” 2024, the Annual Music Festival of Bhubaneswar Music Circle is being brought to Bhubaneswar Music Circle.Today’s programme has two presentations as under
Presentation 1 : Hindustani Instrumental ensemble
Dr. Shyam Rastogi – Surbahar& Sitar from Gwalior, Dr. Jabahar Mishra – Flute from Bhubaneswar, and Dr. Sarada Prasan Das – Violin from Bhubaneswar
Accompanist on Tabla –Shri Shubhranshu Shekhar Sahoo
The fourartistes combined to produce mesmerising Hindustani music. They combined beautifully to bring instrumental Raga music.
Award Presentation – Tajinder Singh Lifetime achievement award was presented to Professor Mohini Mohan Patnaik. Prof. Patnaik is a rare self taught flautist who in turn has produced over one hundred well known gurus and performers.
Presentation 2 : Hindustani Vocal recital
Vidushi Saniya Patankar from Pune
A senior disciple of Dr. Ashwini Bhide Deshpande, Saniya presented an evening Raga followed by two pieces of semi classical renditions. Accompanists- Shri Rajnarayan Bhattacharyaon Tabla, and Shri Pradip Paliton Harmonium
