11th November 2024, (Odisha Tazanews) Pune:-> Despite the police commissioner’s order to completely ban illegal businesses in the city, the police have taken major action against the gambling dens that are running rampantly in Manjari area of Hadapsar. A case has been registered against seven persons under the Gambling Act. The accused include Vijay Kamthe, Gunderao Shinde, Mahesh Yadav, Munna Pathan, Ganesh Chandane, Mahesh Bhosale and Vaman Jadhav.
According to the information provided by Divya Marathi newspaper, based on the secret information received by the Hadapsar police, it was revealed that this gambling was being played in an open space behind the green park, which is under the cover of trees and bushes. This time the police took action and detained all the seven accused. This operation has made it clear that such illegal businesses are still going on secretly in some places in the city.
