3th November 2024 (Odisha Taznews) BBSR :-> Odisha FC lost 3-2 against the inform Northeast United at Guwahati on Sunday. From the start the Highlanders went all out attack and Odisha FC were unable to control the game. As a result the danger man Aladdine Ajaraie scored two goals in the First half in the 12th and 40th minute. The defense of the Kalinga Warriors looked clueless in the first half.
However in the second half OdishaFC returned to the field with an attacking intent by substituting in Hugo and Gama in place of Rohit Kumar and Jerry. The travelling Kalinga Warriors pulled one goal back with a beautiful solo run of Hugo Bomous.
When things started to look good for OdishaFC Amey Ranawade made a horrible mistake giving the home side a two goals lead on 71st minute. Despite the lead Odisha FC didn’t give up and continued fighting. They were later rewarded with a World-class freekick goal by Diego Mauricio which reduced the goal deficit in the 83rd minute..
They kept on chasing for the Equaliser till the end but unfortunately the game came to an end with Odisha FC coming so close to the Draw. With this loss the Kalinga Warriors are 8th on the table with 8 points from 7 matches.
