8 Oct 2024 (Odisha Tazanews) Pune :-> Even though more than fifteen days have passed since Ganeshotsav, the happiness ration announced by the government has still not reached the citizens. So, now the question has arisen whether the ration of happiness of Diwali will be received in time.
For women empowerment, monthly installments are being deposited in women’s accounts by implementing ‘Mukhya Mantri Ladki Bahin Yojana’. But there is confusion among the citizens whether they will get the ration of happiness in time or not during the festivals.
After the grand coalition government came to power, the ration shops are giving happy ration. The ration, which includes four items for Rs 100, was introduced last year along with maida and poha. On the occasion of Gauri Ganapati festival, the government had announced to distribute happiness ration in the month of September.
However, this time only four items namely oil, semolina, chanadal and sugar were given, while poha and maida were reduced. Glitches in the supply system, a strike by ration shopkeepers ahead of festivals and stress on the e-POS system have hampered the distribution of rations. As a result, the scheme has been hampered and this situation is evident from the distribution of rations.
According to Prashant Khatal, Food Grain Distribution Officer, Pune City, Ananda ration is distributed in the month of September before Gauri Ganpati festival. Out of 3 lakh 25 thousand ration card holders in 11 circles of Pune city, 92 percent ration has been distributed. Due to the strike and e-pos issue, the remaining ration holders will be given the ration for the month of September. However, there is no order yet whether Anand’s ration will be distributed for Diwali this year or not.
