23th Sept 2024 (Odisha Tazanews) Pune :-> Heavy rains have taken hold in Pune and the roads have turned into rivers in just a few minutes. For the past few days, Punekars were facing heat wave. On Sunday night, around nine o’clock, it suddenly started raining and many citizens were in a hurry.
Since morning the air felt like October heat, and in the afternoon the weather became cloudy. Around nine o’clock the rain suddenly increased. Heavy rain and gale force winds have started in Pune’s Katraj, Sinhagad Road, Dhairi, and Bopodi areas. Cloudburst-like conditions are being experienced in some parts.
Along with the thundering clouds, the lightning crackles and the rain has increased somewhat. Water has accumulated on the roads and the impression of rivers has been created. As it is Sunday, people who have gone out are facing difficulties due to sudden rain. Electricity supply has been disrupted in the area of Katraj and Sinhagad roads and heavy rain is continuing in Yerwada as well along with lightning.
