Prime Minister to lay foundation stone for 554 Amrit Bharat Railway stations and 1500 Road Over Bridges/Underpass will be dedicated and laid foundation stone

23 February (Odisha Taza News) khordha-jatni :-> 6 more Railway stations over the Khurda Road division will be redeveloped under Amrit Bharat station scheme.In Khurda road division, foundation stone will be laid for 16 ROB/Underpass and 3 ROB/Underpass projects will be dedicated to public. The Hon’ble Prime Minister of India,Shri Narendra Modi ji will dedicate Railway projects worth Rs 41,000 crores to the nation on 26th February 2024.He will lay foundation stone for the redevelopment of 554 Railway stations as “Amrit Bharat Stations”all over the country and will dedicate/lay foundation stone for 1500 Road Over Bridges/Under pass to public, through video conferencing. 25 Rail projects of Khurda Road division worth cost Rs 1311.32Crores will be inaugurated during the above programme. Briefing the media at conference hall of DRM office building Khurda Road Shri H S Bajwa the Divisonal Railway Manager Khurda Road elaborated the 25 Rail projects of Khurda Road division. which will be inaugurated by honble PM on 26th Feb, virtually.

Those are :-

1- Foundation stone for the development of 6 more Railway stations.
2- Foundation stone for construction of Road Over Bridges/Underpass at 16 LC Gates.
3- ROB/Underpass constructed at 3 LC gates will be dedicated for public.

The 6 Railway stations are Bhadrak, Talcher, Paradeep, Raghunathpur, Kendujhargarh and Ichhapuram. These stations will be developed under Amrit Bharat station scheme with facilities like improvement of station access, circulating areas, waiting halls, toilets,lift/escalators as necessary, free Wi-Fi, ‘One Station One Product’ stalls, better passenger information systems, Executive Lounges, nominated spaces for business meetings, landscaping etc. 23 Railway stations over Khurda Road division were identied for Amrit Bharat station scheme,out of which the work at 14 Railway stations are already on faster mode during the firt phase. These stations are Bhubaneswar,Puri, Cuttack, Sakhigopal, Mancheswar, Dhenkanal, Chhatrapur, Angul, Palasa, Meramandali,Balugaon, Lingaraj Temple Road, Talcher Road and Khurda Road. Fulfilling the prolonged demands at various locations foundation stone will also be laid for construction of Road Over Bridges and Underpass at 16 LC gates at various sections like Khurda Road-Kaipadar, Cuttack-Barang, Rambha-Humma, Ranital-Bhadrak, Jajpur-Jakhpura etc. Further the Underpass/ROBs constructed at 3 LC gates will be dedicated to Public. The construction of ROB and Underpass at LC gates will avoid traffic detention and ensure safe movement of road vehicles and trains.
