OSOP stall is a platform for the artisans and craft people benefited under Pradhan Mantri Viswakarma Yoijana.
27th Dec,2023 (Odisha Tazanews) Khurda Road :-> The One Station One Product stalls at Bhubaneswar and Khurda Road Railway stations are now showcased with the products of farmers and artisans promoted by National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD). The products are Handloom, Handicrafts and consumable products like Horse gram, Green gram, black gram, Honey etc.
The One Station- One Product Concept was announced by the Government of India with an objective to provide enhanced livelihood and welfare of local artisians, potters, Weavers/Handloom weavers, tribals etc. The Railway station will act as a marketing channel to promote their products.
In this initiative, NABARD has forwarded its hands by encouraging its Farmer Producer Organizations (FPO), Off farm Producer Organizations (OFPO) and Self Helf Groups to sell their products at Bhubaneswsar and Khurda Road Railway stations through the fabricated OSOP stalls.
The One Stration One Product stalls at Railway stations are working as a platform for for the artisans and craft people benefitted under Pradhan Mantri Viswakarma Yojana. PM Viswakarma Yojana is an initiative by the government of India to support and uplift the artisans and craftsmen belonging to the Vishwakarma community.
At present Khurda Road division is having OSOP stalls at 12 Railway stations i.e Bhubaneswar, Puri, Khurda Road, Balugaon, Chatrapur, Brahmapur, Palasa, Cuttack, Jajpur Keonjhar Road, Bhadrak, Angul and Dhenkanal Railway stations showcasing the products of local artisans.
