A total of 74 ideas were pitched across 10 Colleges and 1 school with participation from 1123 students today
Along with Subarnapur, Yatra to expand its reach furthermore in Balasore and Gajapati on 25th September
22nd September, 2023 (Odisha Tazanews) Bhubaneswar :-> Odisha Startup Yatra and Starup Xpress, flagship initiatives of the Government of Odisha to nurture entrepreneurial mindset in the state at grassroots level, have achieved remarkable milestone with more than 860 ideas generation from the student’s community. These ideas collected from 76 colleges and 16 schools within days with participation from 9497 students. As the momentum continues, on Friday, Startup Vans were visited 10 colleges and 1 school and received 74 ideas with participation from 1123 students.
In Bhadrak, the Yatra covered 2 colleges and one school of Bhadrak namely Bhadrak Engg. School and Technology, Bhadrak Autonomous college and “Government UG high school. In Boudh, the vans visited Model Degree College (Boudh), GOVT. ITI & Bhairabi Degree College. In Gajapati district it visited three college, Hill top Degree College, Indira Memorial Degree College & Dr. BR Ambedkar National Degree college, whereas in Balasore District, it visited S.S.V.M Balasore and BIT Polytechnic. The excitement and enthusiasm from the student community was palpable with their passionate pitches.
To further extend the reach and empower more students with entrepreneurial knowledge, Startup Yatra & Xpress are excited to announce their expansion furthermore in Balasore and Gajapati district by visiting few more colleges on September 25th, Monday. Alongwith this, Yatra will also visit 3 colleges and one school of Subarnapur District on same day. During this tour Odisha Startup Yatra & Xpress will cover six colleges of Balasore namely RJ School Of Management Studies, Sagar College of Science, Fakir Mohan University, Remuna Degree College, Balasore Law College & GOVT. ITI (Balasore).
In Subarnapur District, the vans will visit Kendriya Vidyalaya, Model Degree College, Sonepur College & Bishwaprava College. In Gajapati district it will visit four college, Parsuram Gurukul Degree College, Centurion University of Technology and Management, SKCG Autonomous College & GOVT. ITI (Gumma). The aim of Startup Odisha Yatra and Startup Xpress 2023 is to encourage grassroots innovators and promote entrepreneurship among them.
In 2023 edition of the Yatra, Startup Odisha has four dedicated vans that will cover all 30 districts of the state. After remarkable achievements in the past edition, this year Odisha Startup Yatra aims to leap forward by visiting 200+ colleges and 60+ schools thus impacting 25,000+ students. With a core focus on guiding and empowering young minds at the grassroot level in the realms of innovation and entrepreneurship, the initiatives seek to equip them for harnessing the ample opportunities within the startup ecosystem.
