22 Sept 2023 (Odisha Tazanews) Khurda :-> Khurda Road Division is observing “Swachhta Pakhwada” from 16th September to 2nd October 2023, giving special focus on cleanliness at Railway stations, premises, trains, offices, canteens, Food stalls, and Railway residential colonies etc.
The Swachhta Pakhwada was started with Swachhta Pledge. Shri H.S.Bajwa, Divisional Railway Manager, khurda Road, administered Swachhta Pledge to all the Branch officers and staff, to commit themselves to cleanliness and to motivate general public on cleanliness. The Swachhta Pledge was administered by the staff at all important Railway stations over the division.
Special workshops, webinars, seminars and trainings programmes are conducted under “Swachh Samwad” to motivate House Keeping Assitants and for other departmental staff involved with passenger services, where awareness on Swachhta, garbage segregation and avoid Single Use of Plastic have been created.
Under “Swachh Railgaadi”, special focus was given to ensure cleanliness in trains and to provide healthy surroundings to the passengers. Inspection was done in trains passing through all major Railway Stations over the division, to ensure train Cleanliness including Cleanliness of toilets. The availability of onboard house keeping staff (OBHS) staff with uniform and with all protective gears was also checked.
Feedback was taken from the passengers regarding, Onboard House keeping service provided in the trains. During the observance of Swachhta Pakhwada, Khurda road division has planned for various cleanliness activities and awareness pragrammes at Railway stations, trains, office buildings and Railway colonies.
