The 2023 Ganpati celebration guidelines from the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC)

14th Sepember 2023 (Odisha Tazanews) Pune :-> Prior to Ganeshotsav, the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) published instructions for Ganesh mandals. The festival will start on September 19 and last for 10 days. In addition, the PMC has advised residents to report any transgressions that inconvenience the general public to the local government. The later Navratrotsav will follow the same rules.

According to the city administration,Ganesh mandals that were given permission in 2019 to erect welcome arches and pandals for five years don’t need to reapply because the earlier authorization will be regarded as valid . Sand-based Ganesh statues should be prioritized because they are more environmentally friendly, according to the city authorities.

Three days after the festival finishes, the pandals must be taken down, and the mandals are responsible for mending the roads that were dug to support them.
The Ganesh mandals are required by the PMC to post a copy of the permit letter in a prominent place inside the pandal. The pandal can’t be taller than 40 feet. A structural stability certificate from a licensed structural engineer is required when erecting a larger pandal.

The mandals must also make sure that public buses, ambulances, and fire extinguishing vehicles do not have any issues passing by the pandal or its welcome arch. At the Pandals, security must also be provided as needed. Citizens can get in touch with the civic body through complaint.punecorporation.org, the PMC Care App, 1800 103 0222 (toll-free), and WhatsApp numbers 96899 00002 or 020-25501398.He stated that the police department and the neighborhood ward office will take care of the problems.
