June14, 2023 (Odisha Tazanews) Bhubaneswar :- Swayam Tripathy, a student of Aakash BYJU’S Bhubaneshwar branch, has a passion to help people and wanted to pursue the noble profession of a Doctor to realize his dreams. He prepared with diligence and grit to ace NEET UG 2023 scoring 715 out of 720 and topped Odisha with AIR 8. He was the only student in his batch who asked for more assignments above and beyond what was allocated.
Swayam joined Aakash BYJU’s in class X to prepare for the National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) where he cleared both sessions to become a scholar. Being the year of Covid pandemic, classes were online but Swayam really liked the professional teachers and interactive teaching methods during the online classes. He decided to pursue his NEET preparation with the two year course in Class XI. He was strong in biology and after his board exams, spent some time watching interviews of notable doctors online. It inspired him to be of service to the people directly and thus prepare for medical.
Swayam’s father is a Professor in a Government Engineering College and his mother is a housewife. His family always encouraged him to make his own choices and wanted him to follow in the footsteps of his grandfather who was a doctor, now retired. His father was very supportive and guided in his studies and kept in touch with the teachers regularly to take updates on his progress. Swayam has a younger sister who studies in Class VII currently.
His teachers commended him for his ability to do self-analysis and improve on weak areas by himself through self-study. He was meticulous in keeping a list of questions that he got wrong in earlier tests and used it for casual revision before NEET.
Post NEET, his family took a long trip to explore Agra, Mathura, Delhi, Amritsar and Vaishno Devi. Utilising the time before results, Swayam is learning driving and is keen to learn swimming as well.
When tired from studies, Swayam took short naps to rejuvenate his mind. He likes playing cricket and sometimes played with his sister to take his mind off studies. When frustrated with his test scores, talking to his parents helped as they encouraged him to stay positive and true to his capabilities.
