22th March 2023 (Odisha Tazanews) Bhubaneswar :- Arepresentative team of Bargarh District Railway Users Association with the support of State Planning Board member Mr. Sadhu Nepak met Mr. Manoj Sharma, CGM of East Coast Railway at his office in Bhubaneswar and discussed various railway issues. The main point of discussion was to extend the Sambalpur-Puri Intercity to Balangir. In view of the problems of the people of Bargarh and Balangir districts, Mr. Sharma was demanded to fulfill this long-standing demand as soon as possible.
The demand letter of Bargarh District Railway Users Association is attached with the supporting letter of Bargarh MP Mr. Suresh Pujari, Rajya Sabha Member Mr. Niranjan Bishi, Textile Industry Minister Ms. Rita Sahu, State Planning Board Member Mr. Sadhu Nepak, Bhatli MLA Mr. Sushant Singh and Bargarh MLA Mr. Debash Acharya.
Mr. Sharma listened to the representation patiently and promised to fulfill the demand as soon as possible.In the discussion Mr. Sharma was asked to run tri-weekly Visakhapatna-Amritsar ‘Hirakud’ Express via Rayagada, Titilagarh and Sambalpur and arrange trains from this area to Prayagraj as the people of Bargarh and Balangir have no direct train to Delhi.
